Mesh - Adjust Your Set (Rob Dust Remix)

Taken from their most successful album up to that point 'Automation>>Baby', released 15 March 2013, 'Adjust Your Set' is a catchy track by Mesh, the British electronic alternative band formed in 1991 by Mark Hockings and Richard Silverthorn. Enjoy another great remix by Rob Dust, taken from the single released in November 2013.

Taken from the EP of the same name, released 10 October 2014, 'All' is a powerful track by Torul, the electro/synthpop project started as a solo artist by Borut Bernik, and joined later by Borut Dolenec & Maj Valerij. This brilliant track gets even more addictive with another fantastic remix by Rob Dust.

MOON.74 - Breath (Rob Dust Remix)

Since this week is dedicated to Rob Dust, I had to include at least one track by MOON.74, the electronic project started in October 2007 by singer and songwriter Dominic Hein, in close collaboration with Rob as producer. Taken from the EP of the same name, released 25 March 2015, 'Breath' is the kind of track that puts me in a good mood, so even if the video isn't really related to the lyrics, I hope you will enjoy it anyway :)

Evo-lution - Lies (Rob Dust Remix)

Taken from the album 'Jahreszeiten' (='Seasons'), released 25 September 2015, 'Lies' is a very cool title by Evo-lution, the German electropop band formed by Björn Miethe, Klaus Schwarz & Micha Meyer. The track gets the Rob Dust treatment, so play it loud and enjoy those "big beatz" :)

Taken from the EP of the same name, released 4 September 2020, 'Perfect World' is a really great track, highly recommended if you haven't heard it yet :)

Beyond Border - Megamix 2022

I've been following Beyond Border almost since day 1 (late 2019) and the synthpop duo formed by Kai Vincenz Németh & Michael Deiters - now a trio for live performances with the addition of keyboardist K.T. Habel - just keeps getting better and better with each release. This Megamix is my little contribution to this awesome band. It includes 11 tracks and runs for almost 23 minutes, I hope you'll enjoy it :)

Technique - Burning (Extended Version)

Taken from their 3rd album 'Connected', released 14 December 2018, 'Burning' is a really cool track by Technique, the Brazilian synthpop band formed by Alex Tibaldi, Marcio Vaez & Robert Tibaldi. The version here is my own extended remix.

PS: You probably won't play 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' the same way after watching this video :)

When In Rome - The Promise (Extended Remastered Version)

Taken from their self-titled debut album, released in 1988, 'The Promise' is a nice track by When In Rome, the English synthpop/new wave group, which originally consisted of vocalists Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann, and keyboardist Michael Floreale. The trio disbanded in 1990 and two bands are now using the same name: one formed in 2006 by Michael ('When In Rome II') and one formed in 2009 by Clive & Andrew ('When In Rome UK'). This is my own extended mix of the recently released remastered version.

Sara Noxx - Die Liebe (Heartbeat Mix By People Theatre)

To end the series of People Theatre remixes in style (there will be one last remix tomorrow), here's a great synthpop track by Sara Noxx, aka Britt Rommel, German musician and member of the band Essexx. Taken from the album 'Entre Quatre Yeuxx', released 20 February 2015, 'Die Liebe' is a soaring piece, mixing lyrics in English, French and German.

Minerve - Save Me (People Theatre Remix)

Taken from the album 'Repleased', released 30 September 2011, 'Save Me' is a great melancholic track by Minerve, the German synthpop band founded in 2002 by Daniel Wollatz & Mathias Thürk (and joined in 2006 by Andreas Wollatz). Another quality remix by People Theatre - and also one of the last I'll post for now since I have other goals for next week :)

Daybehavior - Silent Dawn (People Theatre Remix)

Taken from their 3rd album 'Follow That Car!', released 14 September 2012, 'Silent Dawn' is a swaying, rich electropop composition by Daybehavior, the Swedish band formed by Carl Hammar & Tommy Arell in Summer '93 and joined a little more than one year later by Paulinda Crescentini. This eclectic, dreamy mix of melodic synths and delightfully magnetic vocals of Paulinda is being highlighted once again by another great People Theatre remix.

Foretaste - Alone With People (Theatre) Around

Released 12 February 2012, 'Alone With People Around' is a song by Foretaste, the French synthpop duo formed by Sylvie (Creature_XX) and Pierre (Creature_XY). This excellent track becomes downright grandiose with the help of their compatriot Peter (Creature_XZ ?)

Apoptygma Berzerk - Major Tom (Coming Home) (People Theatre Remix)

Taken from the EP of the same name, released 27 September 2013, 'Major Tom (Coming Home)' is a brilliant track by Apoptygma Berzerk, the synthpop/futurepop band from Sarpsborg, Norway; founded in 1989 by Stephan Groth and Jon Erik Martinsen. VNV Nation Special Week - Day 7/7: When Is The Future?

It's already time for the last video of our VNV Nation Special Week and we'll end up this series with another track taken from the album 'Noire'. With its regular beats and futurepop elements, 'When Is The Future?' does not only invoke a night’s stroll of a “stranger in a strange land”, but also describes our never-ending search for answers while time seems to run by too fast. I hope you've enjoyed this special and look out for another one soon :)

VNV Nation Special Week - Day 6/7:Beloved

Taken from the album 'Futureperfect', released 28 January 2002, 'Beloved' is the highlight of the album. Beautiful layers of strings fill the air, followed by sparse instrumentation that slowly builds tension through the steady addition of one element after another. After nearly 4 minutes of buildup, release comes via the absolutely sublime melody of the chorus. It’s a more personal track from VNV Nation, lamenting the loss of a loved one. Both the lyrics and the words perfectly capture the essence of a sad situation tinged with hope and optimism. Painful lyrics about loss soon segue into happiness over their time together and their eventual unification, while the music simultaneously shifts from anxious, slightly ominous rumblings to soaring melodies full of catharsis and positivity.

VNV Nation Special Week - Day 5/7: Collide

Taken from the album 'Noire', 'Collide' is starting with some ominous synth sounds going over into dark mooded melody with that strong voice of Ronan. Another great electropop ballad from VNV Nation with a powerful synth melody and memorable lines like “for all things to exist they must collide.”

VNV Nation Special Week - Day 4/7:Electronaut

In the middle of their career (28 January 2002), VNV Nation released Futureperfect, a very different album in comparison to their older albums. The band took futurepop's trance influence to new heights, by unleashing a full force of frenzied synthesizers and 'Electronaut' is a good example of that, an instrumental track full of loud, catchy, electronic riffs, one of my fav' for sure :)
