Endanger - I Count On You

Taken from their third album 'Addicted To The Masses', released 18 October 2004, 'I Count On You' is a great track by Endanger, the German synthpop/futurepop band founded in 1998 by Marc Pollmann and Rouven Walterowicz. If you're feeling down, this is exactly the kind of song (and video) that will make you feel better immediately :)

Frozen Plasma Special Week. Day 7/7: Saving This Moment

We'll end our Frozen Plasma Special with a track taken from their third studio album 'Dekadenz', released 27 March 2015. 'Saving This Moment' is another melancholic track, starting with a beautiful piano line and growing up slowly until the synths kick in. A typical track for Felix Marc and Vasi Vallis, but very well done as usual so nobody will complain :)

Frozen Plasma Special Week. Day 6/7: Lift The Veil

After 'King Of Pain', here's another track taken from my fav' Frozen Plasma EP, 'Emphasize', released 13 October 2006. 'Lift The Veil' is a fantastic synthpop track, combining as usual melancholic lyrics with a captivating melody, which begins gently and gets on until the final climax.

Frozen Plasma Special Week. Day 5/7: Earthling

Taken from their second album 'Monumentum', released 29 May 2009, 'Earthling' is a beautiful track with ringing synth and poignant lyrics. The 'Monumentum' was certainly achieved with this Frozen Plasma album; which still marks those glorious moments for Vasi Vallis and Felix Marc.

Frozen Plasma Special Week. Day 2/7: Almond Flowers 2020

Originally appeared on 2009’s Monumentum, Almond Flowers has been remixed and remastered by Frozen Plasma for the album 'Gezeiten', released 29 May 2020. There isn't a huge difference between 'Almond Flowers 2020' and the original, but this is still a beautiful track with emotional synthpop tunes.

A great atmospheric track from a great album :)

Assemblage 23 Special Week. Day 7/7: Welcome, Apocalypse

The final track of our Assemblage 23 Special is taken again from Tom's latest studio album 'Mourn', released 11 September 2020. 'Welcome, Apocalypse' paint the picture of societal collapse we experienced during the global pandemic - empty streets, bare shelves, little contact with one another - but also showcasing our society’s ignorance, nihilism, and lack of empathy.

Assemblage 23 Special Week. Day 6/7: Binary

The penultimate track of our Assemblage 23 Special is taken from the album 'Meta', released 24 April 2007. Released as single a month before the album, 'Binary' may not be the best song of the album, but it's a great dance track with the typical signature A23 sound.

Assemblage 23 Special Week. Day 4/7: Lullaby

Taken from the album 'Defiance', released 22 October 2002, 'Lullaby' is a beautiful and sad track by Assemblage 23. This minimalist song comes across as more of a goodbye than a goodnight, with it's heavy breathing laying groundwork as a backdrop to the piano fueled ballad.

Assemblage 23 Special Week. Day 3/7: December

Taken from the album 'Endure', released 9 September 2016, 'December' is the 3rd track for our Assemblage 23 Special. Another awesome track - just like most songs on the album - with a great melody and a beautiful melancholic chorus.

Assemblage 23 Special Week. Day 2/7: Epiphany

Our second track for this Assemblage 23 Special is taken from the latest album 'Mourn', released 11 September 2020. Released during the peak of covid-19, 'Epiphany' could easily have been the club hit of the year...if clubs had been open then. This intense track is the brilliant opening of an amazing album, one of the genre’s best and brightest.
